Elysian Downhill 2024
The annual Elysian Downhill Race is switching things up this year by sending it back to the 90s for the biggest retro party to hit the hill since 1996! Driven by an overwhelming sense of nostalgia and honoring the decade Elysian was founded, this is a one-of-a-kind event for springtime skiers and riders to celebrate the sunshine and break out their best vintage gear at Crystal Mountain. Tight, bright and neon garb of all kinds are encouraged. Whether you’re racing or spectating, this retro trip is for everybody.

- 8:30 – 10:00am Registration, Location: Rafters (all competitors must check in at registration)
- 2:00 pm Race on Gold Hills
- 3:00 pm Live Music with Aaron Crawford, Location: Rafters
- 4:00 pm Awards, Location: Rafters
- 6:00 pm End of Live Music, Location: Rafters
Registration: $45 in advance, $50 day of. Proceeds benefit the Crystal Mountain Fire Department. Advance ticket sales end Friday, April 5 at 4pm PT.
Prizing: Top winners in the categories Best Style (Male & Female), Fastest Skier (Male & Female), Fastest Snowboarder (Male & Female) and Judges’ Choice (Male & Female) receive limited edition Elysian coolers packed with sweet Elysian swag and $250 cash prize.
Race Attire: Wear anything you like that's reminiscent of the 90s: hammer pants with crop tops, jean cutoffs with a bathing suit, stretch pants and a turtleneck, biker shorts and baggy logo tees. Hair scraped into scrunchies or left as flouncy, unstyled manes under your helmet, of course. Embrace the nostalgia and make it your own.
Check-In: All competitors must check in at Registration in Rafters on race day between 8:30-10am. Those who do not check in by 10am will forfeit their spot to the next on the waitlist.
Rules:
- Age 21+
- All contestants must pay an entry fee and complete a waiver for the event.
- Registration: $45 in advance, $50 day of exact cash or card only. Proceeds benefit the Crystal Mountain Fire Department.
- Max capacity for each heat: 24
- Race Heats: Women Ski, Men Ski, Women Snowboard, Men Snowboard
- Judging Categories: Best Style (Male & Female), Fastest Skier (Male & Female), Fastest Snowboarder (Male & Female), Judges’ Choice (Male & Female)
Athlete Admission ticket includes entry for one (1) athlete. Must be 21+ to compete. Must complete event waiver. Athlete must check in on race day by 10am or they forfeit spot to the next athlete on the waitlist.
Refunds: You may request to cancel your ticket for a full refund, up to 30 days before the date of the event. Cancellation requests made within 30 days of the event will not receive a refund yet can be transferred to another individual. When you register for the event, you agree to these terms.
